Hello,

Just a follow up on this post. I work for Pinancle Cart and we don't have the SEO urls turned on by default because of our licensed clients. We are making a change to the policy with the next release and they will be turned on. Pinnacle allows you to completely manage the URL with the feature on. It will also generate SEO friendy URL's automatically. We've worked with the leading SEO firms to create this feature. While I always appreciate reviews of the application, may I suggest updating this to reflect this feature. We would also be happy to provide you a cart to review if you like.

Thank you Susan,

That is good to know. Most will not know that and I am not certain why they do not make the links by default. it is similar to html rewriting. I am not sure how yummie the virtual links are to the Search Engines.

I've been with PC for a number of years. I've also been able to use a feature called custom URLs that let me define exactly how I want my URLs to read for product and catalogue pages - not sure if author just isn't aware of that current feature. PCI/PA-DSS compliance is also huge for me. Pinnacle Cart is one of the few carts out there that have achieved compliance, which makes me feel a lot better. I don't need any more costs (fines) associated with doing business with the credit card companies. Just my .02. Nice article.
